Daniel was born on August 2, 1959, in St. Joseph, to Harold & Delores (Weber) Rimpel. In 1978, he graduated from Michigan Lutheran High School. Following graduation, Daniel married the love of his life, Debbra Goodline, on September 22, 1979, at St. Paul’s Church in Stevensville. Professionally, Daniel worked as a diecast operator at various manufacturing plants in the area. In spring of 2021, he would retire from North Shore Manufacturing. Daniel enjoyed reading books about Theology, American History and Presidential Biographies, watching classic old movies, taking long walks, and cheering on the Chicago Cubs. However, what brought him the most joy was spending time with his family, especially the yearly vacations to the Smoky Mountains in Tennessee.

Daniel is survived by his mother, Delores Rimpel; loving wife of nearly 46 years, Debbra; children, Daniel (Samantha) Rimpel, Jr., and Rachel Rimpel, both of St. Joseph; grandchildren, Abigail, Allison, & Adelyn; siblings, Tim (LuAnn), Mike (Kathy), and Lori Rimpel; and very special friends, Pastor Robert (Mary) Duehlmeyer, Jr., and their family. Daniel was preceded in death by his father, Harold Rimpel.
