Dale's Obituary

Dale M. Rohn, 74, of St. Joseph, passed away, Sunday, December 29, 2024 at Spectrum Health Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held 3 PM Saturday, January 18, 2025 at St. Joseph Benton Harbor Elks Lodge #541, 601 Riverview Dr., Benton Harbor. Friends may visit starting at 2:30 also at the Elks. Memorial donations in Dale’s name may be made to St. Joseph-Benton Harbor Elks #541 ENF. Dale was born July 14, 1950 in Merrill, Michigan to Melvin & Elda Rohn. He graduated from Merrill High School, Class of 1968. He was employed for many years in maintenance & engineering at Application Engineering in South Haven. Dale was a member of St. Joseph-Benton Harbor Elks #541 where he spent many hours volunteering in the kitchen. In his free time, Dale enjoyed sailing his sailboat on Lake Michigan and listening to his favorite group AC DC.

Dale is survived by his long-time significant other Mary Martens of St. Joseph; three sons-Adam (Thia) Rohn of Queen Creek, AZ, Jeffery (Shari) Rohn of Twin Lake, MI, Dale Rohn, Jr. of Detroit, Step Children Michelle Parker of Los Angels, CA, and James Parker of Irvine CA; four granddaughters-Savannah Marie Rohn, Isabell Rohn, Emry Rohn & Shayde Sluyter; his sister Sandy Pesce (Brad Hunt) of Kingman, AZ; and several nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Melvin, his mother and step-father Elda (Michael) Esmer, and his brother Gordon Rohn.
