Cynthia L. “Cindy” Shonk, 60, of Bridgman, passed away on November 28, 2023, at her home.
A memorial gathering will be held at on December 15, 2023, from 5:00 P.M. until 7:30PM at Woodland Shores Baptist Church, 3555 W. Shawnee Rd., Bridgman, MI 49106. Cindy was born on July 18, 1963, to Reggie & Betty (Vermillion) Shonk in Melbourne, FL. She graduated from Bridgman High School. Cindy worked as a secretary in the insurance industry. In Cindy’s spare time, she enjoyed reading, watching NCIS and NASCAR. She also enjoyed cheering on the Dallas Cowboys and was an avid University of Michigan fan. Cindy had a passion for singing, completing crosswords and crocheting.
Cindy is survived by her children, Christina Rider and Ralph John “Johnny” Behrend IV; mother Betty Shonk-Benton; brother Tim (Maricar) Shonk; grandchildren, Clay Rider, Ralph John Behrend V and Zane Rhodes; and nephews David & Brandon Shonk.
Cindy was preceded in death by her father Reggie Shonk and step-father Eugene Benton.
