Betty J. Gungler, 69, of Benton Harbor, passed away, Tuesday, September 3, 2024 at Hanson Hospice Center in Stevensville, Michigan.

A Celebration of Life Homegoing Service will be held 12:00 P.M. Saturday, September 21, 2024 at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph, with Pastor Elijah Thompson officiating. Betty was born August 28, 1955 in St. Joseph, Michigan to Mathias & Dorothy (Miller) Gungler. She graduated from Coloma High School, Class of 1973. Betty was employed for eighteen years at Patterson Printing in Benton Harbor, retiring in 2021. Betty cherished the time spent with her loving son Marcus, and all of her family, especially her grandchildren and her great-nieces & nephews. She enjoyed listening to old school rhythm & blues music, watching NBA games, especially the Lakers & Bulls and walks along the bluff and the beach in St Joseph. In December of 2021, she renewed her commitment to her Lord & Savior Jesus Christ. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Betty is survived by her son Marcus Gungler of Benton Harbor; two grandchildren-Cameron Taylor & Daisha Gungler; three sisters-Sandy Morgan of Watervliet, Susan Flaugh of Dowagiac, Shirley Gungler of Indianapolis; nieces & nephew-Melody Allen, Kristy Moxley, Whitney Gungler, Jennifer McGee, Justin Flaugh; a host of great-nieces & nephews; the entire Allen Family; and special family friends-Lonzo Lamb, Eddie Anderson & Keisha Marlow. She was preceded in death by her parents, and Jeremy McGee, Karri Morgan & Christopher Allen.
