Beth's Obituary
Beth Ellen Kohlhoff, 80, of Saint Joseph, Michigan passed away on August 31, 2024. She was born December 26, 1943, in South Haven, Michigan to Cleon and Marion (Sanders) Avery.
Beth married Fred E. Kohlhoff on September 14, 1962 at the Evangelical United Brethren Church in Casco Township. They were married 62 years before her passing. Beth was a homemaker, along with being an aide in a nursing home and working in a couple of different factories. She enjoyed the time of raising her three boys and as their families grew, she enjoyed that time as well. She enjoyed many activities such as camping, biking, easy hiking trails, quiet evenings watching TV, crocheting or reading a book. She enjoyed family get togethers with her extended family and cherished those times.
Beth loved playing her piano and would spend many hours playing hymns and singing. She attended the former church of Nazarene in South Haven, where she was involved in bible studies enjoying fellowship with friends. Her godly manner shined through her for all to see.
Beth is survived by her husband; Fred E. Kohlhoff, children; Brian (Marsha) Kohlhoff, Ron (Melisa) Kohlhoff and Joe Kohlhoff; seven grandchildren and eight grandchildren. Also surviving are her siblings; Eunice and Roger Brush, Marilyn and Randy Hisey, James Avery and Joy and Jerry Melville and Leon and Shirley Avery, sister-in-law; Alice Avery.
Beth is preceded by her granddaughter; Tasha Sorenson, brother; Vernon Avery and one brother in infancy.
