Art's Obituary
Arthur Lee Pendergrass, 67 of Pullman Michigan passed away peacefully on Wednesday May 8, 2024 at Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids Michigan, after having a very serious vehicle accident on April 30, 2024. Born on December 23, 1956 in Dunklin Missouri to Charley and Ann Pendergrass.
Art is survived by his son Michael Pendergrass, brothers; Carl Pendergrass, Charley Pendergrass, Danny (Mary) Pendergrass, Sisters; Jan (Gene) Smith, Cheryl Pendergrass and Roxann Matrau. Also survived by two sisters in law; Kris Pendergrass, Peggy Pendergrass and many nieces and nephews, as well as his three fur babies; Molly, Missy and Scarlett.
Preceded in death by his parents Charley and Ann Pendergrass, wife of 44 years Laura Lee Pendergrass, son Arty Pendergrass, Sister Brenda Pendergrass, Jeanette Pendergrass, Marge Kempkers and brothers Harold and Gary Pendergrass.
Art proudly served his country in the U.S. Army in 1975-1976 receiving an honorable discharge.
Art lived in Pullman the majority of his life. He painted bridges and water towers in his younger days. Art hauled gravel and sand as well as cutting tons and tons of wood. His hobbies included having mud runs at his farm better known as the Phatt Farm. He also enjoyed playing around with tractors and cars, whatever he could fiddle with. Art enjoyed working and spending time with his son and his many many friends. Arts heart was bigger than his body. He will be deeply missed.
Cremation has taken place and there will be no services per Arts request. Donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
