Ann's Obituary
Ann Renee Gebhard, 65, of Stevensville, MI, left us peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, after a decade long battle with Alzheimer’s disease.
Ann was born on March 29, 1959, in Benton Harbor, MI. She graduated from Lakeshore high school in 1977, where she met the love of her life, Kevin. They have been married for 41 years.
Ann worked for over 20 years as a paralegal, most of them for the late attorney Jim Ford. Ann loved camping and the outdoors. She spent her summers, starting from a young age, camping at Hemlock Lake Campground in Marcellus. Her joys included cooking, trips to the casino, and spending time with her family. Her greatest joy was becoming a grandma to her 4 grandchildren.
Ann is survived by her husband Kevin; daughter Amy (Tyler) Rice; son Andy (Julia) Gebhard; her beloved grandchildren Avery (11), Nolan (9), Leo (6), and Everett (3); father Jack (Paula) Lybrook; step-father Alan Workinger; and siblings Tom (Tracie) Lybrook, Mike Lybrook, and Karen (Lou) Scarpino. She was preceded in death by her mother, Kathleen Workinger. She also leaves behind numerous beloved family members and friends. A special thank you to Ann’s long-time in-home nurse Kellie, who provided the best care and support to her and the family.
A visitation to celebrate Ann’s life will be held on Friday, March 7 from 2-6 pm at Starks & Menchinger Chapel at 2650 Niles Rd, St Joseph, MI 49085. A memorial luncheon will be held on Saturday, March 8 from 12-4 pm at Babe’s Riverfront Lounge and Restaurant at 565 Riverview Dr, Benton Harbor, MI 49022.
