Donald's Obituary

Donald LaVerne Wycoff, 86, of South Haven, passed away Monday, April 10, 2017 at the Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo. He was born October 9, 1930 to Cecil and Josie (Harris) Wycoff in Eau Claire, Michigan. Donald married Naida Sisson on September 22, 1951 and shared 44 years of marriage before her passing in 1995. Donald worked for Controlled Rubber for 30 years before retiring in 1982. He began working as a sales clerk at WalMart in 1997. He married Edna Lents on November 11, 2001. A farmer at heart and an avid gardener, Donald enjoyed spending time outside. He also enjoyed fishing. He was a member of the United Pentecostal Church of South Haven.

He is preceded in death along with his parents and wife by a brother – Larry Wycoff and sister – Idola Lawrey.

Donald is survived by his wife – Edna Lents, children – Joni (Mike) Plochocki of Covert, Carol (Allan) Ulen of Grand Junction, and Donald A. Wycoff of South Haven, Edna’s son – Dewayne (Sandy) Lents, and siblings – Josie Valleria, Joann King, and Fermon (Bev) Wycoff. Six grandchildren and six great grandchildren also survive.

Memorial services will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home in South Haven with Rev. Brian DeLong and Rev. Philip Haner officiating. Donald will be laid to rest next to his wife Naida in Lakeview Cemetery. Contributions may be made in Donald’s memory to the United Pentecostal Church of South Haven 617 Kalamazoo Street, South Haven, Michigan 49090
