Susan's Obituary
Susan Beam Webster, 75, of South Haven, passed away Sunday, March 26, 2017 at the Countryside Nursing and Rehabilitation Community in South Haven. Susan was born July 12, 1941 to Jim and Edna (DuFresne) Webster in Chicago, Illinois. She graduated from the Roosevelt University in Chicago and earned her RN from Lake Michigan College. Susan taught Elementary School in Chicago before becoming a registered nurse. As a nurse, Susan worked at the Martin Luther Memorial Home, Countryside Nursing, and South Haven Hospice. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, and sewing and loved to read in her spare time.
She is preceded in death along wither her parents by her first husband – Phil Chitister.
Susan is survived by her children – Angie Franks of Holland, Michigan, Roy (Danielle) Nuismer of Grand Junction, Christine (Gary) Lewis of Texas, and Tony Nuismer of South Haven, siblings – Bill Webster of North Carolina and Mike Webster of Chicago, Illinois, grandchildren – Daniel, Raben, Kendra, Lindsay, Terrin and one great granddaughter.
A visitation will be held from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Friday, April 21, 2017 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Susan's memory to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, P.O. Box 4527 New York, New York 10163.
