Cathy Renee Bingham

Cathy Renee Bingham, 58, of South Haven, passed Saturday, November 14, 2015 at the Borgess Medical Center in Kalamazoo. Cathy was born May 12, 1957 to Edward and Judith (Emerson) Eveland in St. Louis, Missouri. She graduated from South Haven High School in 1975. She worked for the South West Enforcement Team for the past 19 years. She also worked as a post secretary for the Michigan State Police for the past six years in both Bridgman and Niles. Cathy married Timothy A. Bingham on August 11, 1979 at the First Congregational Church in South Haven. She enjoyed crocheting and reading. Cathy also enjoyed spending time with friends down at the bowling alley.

She is preceded in death along with her parents by two infant sons – Jeremy and Marcus Bingham; brothers – Eddie and Samuel Eveland; sister – Carolyn Summerford; and son-in-law – Brandon Silverlight.

Cathy is survived by her husband of 36 years – Timothy A. Bingham of South Haven; daughter – Jennifer (Shaun) Carter of Flint, Michigan; grandchildren – Emilio and Jasmine Carter; siblings – Linda Slone of South Haven, Terry (Nikki) Eveland of Caruthersville, Missouri, Jerry Eveland of Deering, Missouri, Steven Eveland of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, and Michael (Melissa) Eveland of Three Rivers, Michigan.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Friday, November 20, 2015 at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home of South Haven. Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 21, 2015 at 10:00 AM at the funeral home with Rev. Jeffrey S. Dick officiating. Cathy will be laid to rest at North Shore Memory Gardens in Hagar Shores. Contributions may be made in Cathy’s memory to the St. Jude’s Children Hospital, 501 St Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
