Reno Rigozzi

Reno Rigozzi, 77, of South Haven, died on Monday, March 3, 2014 at his home under Hospice care. He was born May 4, 1936 to David and Angeline (Capovilla) Rigozzi in Bangor. Reno retired from Bohn Aluminum after many years of service as the chief of security. Reno was a member of the Dutcher Masonic Lodge #193 in Fennville and the South Haven Shrine Club. Following his retirement, Reno drove children to the Shriner’s Children Hospital in Chicago. He also rode his mini bike and motorcycle in many parades with the Shriners. Reno farmed corn, soy beans and hay and enjoyed working with his team of mules. Reno was also a member of the Church of the Epiphany Episcopal Church.

He is preceded in death along with his parents by grandchildren – Christopher, Jason, Keith, and Alexis; three brothers – Arthur, David Jr., and Angelo Rigozzi.

Reno is survived by his wife – Colette (Jette) Rigozzi of South Haven; six daughters – Marie (Kelly) Solis of Fennville, Lisa (Butch) Thomas of Pullman, Tammy (Chris) Mikusko of South Haven, Zina (Jeff) LaDuke of South Haven, Rita Davis of South Haven, and Cindy Thomas of Watervliet; two sons – Brian (Diane) Rigozzi and Mike (Jean) Rigozzi of Bangor; two stepchildren – Louis (Polly Ann) and Ronald Norton both of Oregon; sister – Lu (Claude) Robertson of Bangor. 21 grandchildren and ten great grandchildren also survive.

Visitation will be from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Saturday, March 8, 2014 at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home. Funeral services including Masonic service will follow visitation at 12:00 PM at the funeral home. Reno will be laid to rest at the Church of the Epiphany Episcopal Church Memorial Garden. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the South Haven Shrine Club in Reno’s memory.
