Patricia's Obituary
Patricia Zapal, 74 of South Haven, Michigan, died Thursday, October 17, 2013 at the Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit. She was born August 21, 1939 to John and Emily (James) Crawley in Richmond, Surrey, England. Patricia worked as a registered nurse for her entire professional career. She married her husband, Thomas Zapal on January 28, 1978 in Lombard, Illinois. Patricia was a member and served on the vestry at the Church of the Epiphany Episcopal Church of South Haven. Patricia was active in a writers group and book club. She also enjoyed gardening and loved to bake. Her family loved everything she made.
Patricia is preceded in death by her parents and her sister in law, Janet O'Connor. She is survived by her husband, Tom Zapal. Her children: John (Rosie) Tautkus of Glen Ellyn, Illinois. Richard (Trini) Zapal of Wilmington Island, Georgia. Catherine (Dave) Seiden of Downers Grove, Illinois. Amy (Ray Lundy) Zapal of South Haven. Grandchildren: Estrella and Kelly Tautkus. Haley and Erin Zapal. Emily and Matthew Seiden. Claire and Thomas Lundy. Siblings: Ronald O'Connor of Mississauga, Canada and Eileen Wanvig of Texas.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 2, 2013 at 11:30 A.M. at the Church of the Epiphany Episcopal Church with The Rev. Michael Ryan, rector officiating.
