Richard's Obituary
Richard John Dutkowski, 78, of South Haven, died Wednesday, September 18, 2013 at Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo. He was born December 7, 1934 to Charles and Mary (Stachon) Dutkowski in Chicago. Richard owned and operated the Sunset Blueberry Farm which had been family owned since 1949. He married his wife of 53 years, Diana (Bailey) Dutkowski on June 11, 1960.
He is preceded in death by his parents – Charles and Mary Dutkowski and brother Charles Dutkowski ,Jr.
Richard is survived by his wife – Diana Dutkowski; daughter – Lori Lynne Dutkowski-Rediess of South Haven; grand children – Jeremy Schnooberger of Kalamazoo, James Schnooberger of South Haven, T.J. (Abby) Schnooberger of Jenison, Nicklas (Holly) Schnooberger of Byron Center, Celina Schnooberger, Cayley Rediess, Skyler Rediess of South Haven, and Brooke (Randy) Kosloski of Plainfield; sister – Virginia (George) Whitney of Corning, CA. Eight great grandchildren also survive.
Visitation will be from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM on Sunday, September 22, 2013 at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM on Monday, September 23, 2013 at the funeral home with Rev. David Meister officiating. Richard will be laid to rest at McDowell Cemetery in Casco Township.
