Jody Lawson

Jody Lawson, 56, of South Haven, died Sunday, May 26, 2013 at her home. She was born on April 8, 1958 to Ambrose and Emma (Burson) Barnett in San Diego, California.  Jody married Frank Lawson of January 18, 1975.  Jody was a 1976 graduate of South Haven High School. She worked at Pullman Industries, JCI, and Camsco for twenty years.  Currntly she was working at  Agriteck in Holland for the past eight months. Jody enjoyed spending her time outdoors gardening, tending flowers, and mowing the yard. She enjoyed canning vegetables and loved her grandbabies.

She is preceded in by her father – Ambrose Barnett and brother – Charles Barnett.

Jody is survived by her  husband – Frank Lawson of South Haven.  Her children – Kathy Jo (Robert) Heath and Curtis Lawson both of South Haven; five grandchildren – Garrett Heath, Lakyius Lawson, Jessica Heath, Kyla Lawson and Phoenix Lawson; mother – Emma Barnett of South Haven; brother – Jack (Kathy) Barnett of Portland, OR; two sisters – Janette (Brent) Leffel of South Haven and Annette (Ken) Wahmhoff of Bangor.

Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday May 29, 2013 at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home of South Haven. Funeral services will follow visitation at 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home with Pastor Mark E. Mayou officiating. Jody will be laid to rest at Stephenson Cemetery in Casco Township. Contributions may be made in Jody’s memory to the American Diabetes Association.
