Elizabeth Hinkle

Elizabeth (Betty Ann) A. Hinkle, age 80, of IN, died Monday, February 5, 2007 at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Hobart, In. She was born in Detroit, MI on April 30, 1926, to James E. and Ann V. Curtis II.

She was married to Wilbert E. Hinkle, Sr. in 1944, and from that union nine children were born.

Elizabeth leaves to cherish her memory five daughters: Evette A. Hinkle of Portage, MI; Valarie J. Clarkson of Portage, MI; Sheila M. Bowman of Portage, MI; Elizabeth a. Johnson of Hobart, In; Clara D. (Rufus) Morris of South Haven, MI; four sons: Major Lawrence C. (Vicky) Hinkle of San Diego, CA; Wilbert E. (Virginia) Hinkle, Jr. of Reno, NV; James E. (Mary) Hinkle of Glendale, AZ; Gerald G. (Chris) Hinkle of Brentwood, CA; twenty four grandchildren; fourteen great-grand children; two sisters: Rachael M. Hinkle of Chicago, IL; Adelaiede Jenkins of Chicago, IL; brother: James E. (Melvia) Curtis III of Henderson, NV; Sister In Law: Dorothy J. Hinkle of Las Vegas, NV; and a host of nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

Her husband, Wilbert, Sr.; grandson, Christopher L. Morris; sister, Veronica C. Brooks; brother, Norman Curtis; and both parents preceded Elizabeth in death.

A Visitation will be held Monday, February 12, 2007 from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. at Saint Basil Catholic Church. Funeral services will begin at 1:00 P.M. at the church with Rev.
