Thomas Mario's Obituary

Thomas Mario Pigozzi, age 50, died suddenly, August 5, 2007 while visiting South Haven, MI; he had recently moved back to Evanston, IL. Tom was born April 14, 1957, and grew up in Evanston, where he attended Haven Elementary, Nichols and Evanston Township High School. He was All-Conference Hockey Player ETHS, 1975—two state back-to-back State Championship Teams 1974, 1975. He went on to play hockey at U. W. Stout. He received a Bachelor of Science in Hotel/Restaurant Management from University of Wisconsin, Stout. He owned and operated North Beach Inn and Pigozzi’s Restaurant, South Haven, MI. He Married Denise Fragoules in 1987 and is survived by his wife and three children: Thomas 19, Graham 18, and Christina 15. Tom is preceded in death by his father, Raymond. He is also survived by his mother, Judith, sister, Ellen (George) Montanaro, brothers Raymond (Kim), Robert (Laura), Andrew (Grace), and sixteen nieces and nephews.
Tom was beloved by his family and friends for his playful sense of humor, amazing talent with food, his passion for all things Sinatra and his love for hockey and the outdoors. Visitation: Thursday, August 9, 5:00 to 8:00 pm at Filbrandt Family Funeral Home, 1076 S. Bailey Ave., South Haven, MI (269) 637-0333. A Memorial Mass will be held Friday, August 10, 11:00 am at St. Basil Catholic Church, 513 Monroe Blvd. South Haven, MI. Rev. Father John Young will be the celebrant.
