Joseph's Obituary
Joseph W. Konrath of St. Joseph age 91 died Thursday, June 5, 2008 at his home.
Joe was born April 29, 1917 in Chicago, Illinois to Ambrose and Rosalie (Kupfer) Konrath. Joe married Mildred Kasishke on June 3, 1944. Last Tuesday they celebrated 64 years of marriage.
Joe was a member of the First Congregation Church in St. Joseph, Michigan
He served his country during World War 11 in the 3110th signal Battalion. He was a life member of the DAV. Joe was a tool and die maker at Advance Products in Benton Harbor. He then worked and retired from Whirlpool Corp.
His favorite things were his family, humor, photography, and traveling
To new places.
He is survived by his wife Mildred, daughters, Jean Warden of Brighton,
Mi., Jill Wilke, (Mike) Anaheim, Cal., grandson Chad Warden of Brighton,
Mi., granddaughters Kristin Warden Rogers (Matt) Cleveland, Ohio, Karla
Knapp of San Francisco, Cal., Kali Knapp of Fullerton, Cal., sisters
Elizabeth Harty, Holland, Mi., Margaret Grieffendorf, Grand Junction,
Mi, Rose Gordon, South Haven, Mi., Dorothy Curtis, St. Joseph, Mi., and many nieces and nephews also survive.
Joe is preceded in death by his brother Ambrose Konrath Jr., his sisters Jean Herbach, Josephine Kahler, Irene Peckstein, and son-in-law Daniel J. Warden.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, June 14, at 9:30 AM at the First Congregational Church U.C.C. of St. Joseph which is located at 2001 Niles Ave. Officiating will be Pastor Karen E. Potter and Rev. Harold F. Filbrandt. Memorials may be made to the First Congregational Church of St. Joseph or Hospice at Home of St. Joseph.
