Angela (Amy)'s Obituary
Angela (Amy) Dawson, 48, of South Haven passed away at Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo, Michigan on March 4. She was born on October 8, 1962 in South Haven, Michigan to Eddie and Ann (Parker) Brunt. Angela graduated from Covert High School in 1980. She worked as a security officer at Palisades Nuclear Plant in Covert, Michigan and also as a Para-professional at Bangor High School.
She is preceded in death by her parents.
Angela is survived by her husband – Michael Dawson of South Haven, Michigan. Two step-children – Sarah Dawson and Tara Geiger both of Grand Rapids, Michigan. Three sisters – Adeline Starks of Kalamazoo, Michigan and Patricia Brunt (Brad Brazelton) of South Haven, Michigan and Carol Hammonds of Dothan, Alabama. One brother – Dennis (Yolanda) Brunt of Bangor, Michigan. Three grandchildren – Aidan Ewing, Maija Ewing and Laila Moore. Her nephews – George Starks Jr., Devon Brunt, Jabari Brazelton, DaQuan Brunt, Darian Curry, Dennivan Brunt and Dirk Brunt. One niece – Sinned Brunt and two great-nieces – Kimber Starks and Ahmanii Brunt.
Wake will be on Friday, March 11 from 6-8 pm at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home and Saturday, March 12 from 12-1 pm at Gospel Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church funeral service beginning at 1 pm with Pastor Henry Allen officiating.
