Nicholas's Obituary
Nicholas Charles Schlauch, 81, of South Haven died Sunday, May 1 at South Haven Health Systems.
He was born April 4, 1930 in Long Island, New York to Jacob and Mary (Bliss) Schlauch. Nicholas served his country in the U.S. Navy. He married Doris Coppock in 1966. Nicholas worked for Bohn Aluminum as a set up man retiring in 1992. In his spare time he enjoyed metal detecting on the beaches in South Haven.
He is preceded in death along with his parents by his wife – Doris (Underwood) Schlauch who died in 2000.
He is survived by one daughter – Diane (Greg) Ferraro of Orlando, Florida and two sons – Allen (Chris) Coppock of Allegan, Michigan and Dennis Coppock of Muskegon, Michigan. Five grandchildren and four great grandchildren also survive.
