Theodore's Obituary

Theodore Francis Koziel, 89, of Galien died on Saturday, April 17 at the Grand Rapids Home for the Veterans. He was born November 11, 1920 in Chicago, IL to the late George and Michaelina (Cezars) Koziel. Surviving is a brother, John (Janet) Koziel of Galien and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by brothers, Sigmund, Daniel and Stanley “Kozy” and sisters, Catherine Krause, Alice McClellan, Loretta Koziel, Irene Ksiazek and Marie Derbas. Theodore was a veteran of WW2 where he served in the Navy and later became a truck driver. The Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, April 22 at 11 am at the St. Mary of Assumption in Three Oaks, MI. Rev. Don Suberlak C.R. will officiate. Burial will follow at the Galien Township Cemetery. Military Rites will be given by the Galien American Legion Post #344. Visitation will be Wednesday, April 21, 2010 from 4-7 at the Swem Chapel in Buchanan, MI with a prayer service at 6:30. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Mary of Assumption, 28 W.
