Gertrude's Obituary
Gertrude Wallace of Buchanan, MI, formerly of Ludington, MI died September 23, 2009 at the Buchanan Meadows in Buchanan. She was born on January 28, 1915 in Chicago to the late Alex and Mary Csepregi. She married Charles Wallace on May 22, 1937 in South Bend, IN. He preceded her in death August 22, 2008. She was also preceded in death by a brother John in 1990. Surviving is a sister, Freida Barker of Buchanan and numerous nieces and nephews. Charles and Gertrude were avid rock hunters and made beautiful jewelry in their rock shop and the former owners of the North Bayou Boat Livery at Hamlin Lake, Ludington, MI. In July of 2006 they moved to the Buchanan Meadows. Cremation has taken place with the Swem Funeral Home entrusted with the arrangements. A memorial service will be at 2:00 pm Saturday, October 3, 2009 at the Buchanan Meadows.
