Trent Kizer

Trent Kizer, formerly of Buchanan and Niles, MI, died early Monday morning, 5/23/11, in the home of his mother in Union, MI. He is survived by his parents: Debbie (Dewaye) Proctor of Union and Craig (Linda) Kizer of Niles, his son, Dakota Kizer of Elkhart and daughter, Meia Lorenzo-Kizer of Niles. In addition he is survived by his brother, Todd Kizer, currently stationed in Hawaii with the Army, and maternal grandparents, Pat and Wally Hipshear of Niles, as well as his aunt, Sherry (Tom) Prusinski of South Bend and uncles Bruce (Suzy) Hipshear of Buchanan and Larry Kizer of California. He has several nieces and nephews, as well as 3 step-brothers and 3 step sisters. He was proceeded in death by his paternal grandparents, Lillian and Alvin Kizer of Niles. Because of his above average intelligence, Trent found school to be boring and slow, but did receive his GED from Brandywine High School's alternative education program. He enjoyed golf and bowling at his father's bowling alley, AA Timberlanes in Niles. He could light up a room with his smile, and his sense of humor often proved to be the life of the party. He loved his former work at Buckham Family Farms in the Kalamazoo area, and most recently was employed at Imperial Beverage in Kalamazoo. Trent was a restless soul, never quite feeling like he belonged. His family prays he will find is place in Heaven with his Lord. He attended Hope United Methodist Church in Edwardsburg as well as New Day in Kalamazoo.A memorial service will be held at Portage Road General Baptist Church 1765 Portage Rd. Niles, MI on Thursday June 2nd at 4:00 p.m Friends may call from 3:00 p.m. until the hour of the service.
