Esther Lorraine Cole

Esther Lorraine (Albrecht) Cole, 84, of Buchanan, passed away, Friday September 6, 2013, at Memorial Hospital, South Bend, IN. A Celebration of Life Eternal will be held 11 A.M. Tuesday September 10, 2013 at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 51490 Laurel Rd., South Bend, IN, with Pastor Gregory Fiechtner officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Buchanan. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Paul’s Evangelical Church. Those wishing to leave a condolence online may do so at www.swemchapel.com. Esther was born December 31, 1928, in Glendora, MI, to Alex & Katherine (Dinges) Albrecht. She was a librarian for all the schools in Brandywine area. On January 11, 1959, she married Devaun “Dee” Cole in Buchanan, MI. Esther and Dee traveled the world extensively throughout their lives and she was quite the historian. She enjoyed genealogy, learning and using the computer, antiques, and her loving cat Emily. Esther is survived by her husband, Dee, her siblings, Robert (Barbara) Albrecht, Donna Wilcox, Theresa Wallquist, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, and six brothers and sisters.
