Verda's Obituary
Verda Pearl Johnson, age 95, of Buchanan died Sunday, September 20, 2015 at Buchanan Meadows in Buchanan. Verda was born May 12, 1920 in Morganton, AR to the late William and Myrtle (Presley) Bates who preceded her in death, along with her husband Arvel Johnson in April of 2003. Survivors include one daughter, Clarise Ann (Fred) Canfield of Buchanan, MI; one son, Taylor (Verna) Johnson of Galien, MI; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and one sister, Leola Wong of Waterford, CA. Three sisters and five brothers preceded her in death.
