Garl Frank Wilson

Garl Frank Wilson, 68, of Buchanan, passed away on Tuesday, September 19, 2017 at home surrounded by his family.  A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10 AM on Saturday, September 23, 2017, at Swem Chapel, 301 W. Front St., Buchanan, MI. Burial will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery, Buchanan. Friends may visit with the family from 5-8 PM on Friday, September 22, 2017 also at the funeral home. He worked as a Tool & Die Maker at Contech in Dowagiac. Garl retired from Contech after 36 years of service. He loved his cars, making people laugh and most of all, spending time with his family.  Garl is survived by his wife of 34 years, Carol Gorbitz; children, Michelle Canfield of South Haven, MI, Angie (Mark S.) Starrett of Dowagiac, MI, Tina (Dave Wagner) Arkangle of Niles, MI, Michael Gorbitz of Buchanan, MI and Garl (Loretta) Wilson, Jr.; sister, Carolee Alspaugh; brothers, George Elmer (Leonia) Wilson and Eddie Wilson, twelve grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Florence and sisters, Rose Marie and Hazel Deen.
