Jack's Obituary

BUCHANAN – Jack E. Hamilton, 85, of Buchanan, passed at home in April. He was born July 6, 1932 in Dayton, MI to Frank and Dorothy (Clark) Hamilton. Jack was an Army Veteran, serving in Korea during the Korean War. Surviving are many Hamilton and Clark cousins including Dianne Liskey (Robert) of Bridgman, MI; Jack’s sons Paul (Vickie) of Four Oaks, NC, and John of Tampa and Gainesville, FL; and many long-time friends throughout the community including Ron (Maria) Wesner of St. Joseph, MI. Jack was a machinist at South Bend Lathe for many years, and an avid outdoorsman. He is predeceased by his brother Don Hamilton, and his parents:  Dorothy was a well-known and respected teacher in Berrien County who retired in 1970, and Frank was a farmer. Per Jack’s advance directive, there will be no visitation or funeral. A graveside military salute will occur Monday, April 23, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. at Oak Grove Cemetery, 1909 E. Snow Rd., Berrien Springs, MI 49103. Arrangements have been entrusted to Swem Chapel, Buchanan. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Red Cross.
