Wanda Sue Marcussen

Wanda Sue Marcussen, 65, of Buchanan, passed away on Wednesday, October 17, 2018, at her home. A celebration of life memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, December 1, 2018 at Swem Chapel, 301 W. Front St., Buchanan.  A gathering at Swem Chapel to share memories of Sue will be from 10:00 until 11:00 A.M. immediately prior to the service. Those wishing to send a condolence online may do so at www.swemchapel.com. Sue was born on February 23, 1953, to Laverne Edward and Virginia Wright in Niles, Michigan. She graduated from Buchanan High School in 1972. On October 24, 1981 she married Bernhart Marcussen in Buchanan, Michigan. For many years, Sue worked in the Aviation Division of Clark Credit in South Bend, and then in the Accounting Department of Chase Credit in Buchanan until 1994. Sue is survived by her sister Diane Kliemchen; nieces Hannah Marston, Cynthia Kliemchen and Vanessa Froman; and her step-daughter Greta Marcussen. She was preceded in death by her parents Laverne and Virginia, husband, Bernhart Marcussen and brother, Steve Wright.
