Harriet Elizabeth White

Harriet's life began on February 13, 1920 in Hillsdale, New Jersey, the daughter of Albert P. and Laura C. (Price) White. She was a 1937 graduate of Rutherford High School. Harriet earned her Bachelors degree at Bates College in Maine and her Masters degree at Ohio University. Harriet had three careers in her life with the final career being the director of personnel for Illinois Bell, retiring in 1985. Her loving family includes her niece Shirley Burgess of Port Richey, FL, great nephews Glenn Burgess of Fullerton, CA, Bruce (Donna) Burgess of Dallas, TX, and Richard (Linda) Burgess of Houston, TX, great niece Joyce Bartlett of Manahawkin, NJ, her companion Jean Williams of Sister Lakes, MI, and extended family Linda (Ken) Eckert of Rotunda West, FL, Jeanne (Wade) Marton of Fox River Grove, IL, Thomas (Kristin) LaJeunesse of Crystal Lake, IL, Mackenzie and Samuel Marton of Fox River Grove and Danielle, Kaylie and Emma LaJeunesse of Crystal Lake. Harriet passed away Sunday November 15, 2009 at Borgess Lee Memorial Hospital, Dowagiac. Her family will gather with friends on Saturday November 21st at 3:30 p.m. (Michigan Time) at the Silver Creek United Methodist Church, Dowagiac (31994 Middle Crossing Rd.) for a memorial service honoring her life led by Pastor Julie Greylerbierhl.
