John Wesley Dudley

John's life began on December 28, 1946 in Benton Harbor, the son of Edmond and Lula Madeline (Sloan) Dudley and his special parents Geraldine and Harold Sievert and Albert and Goldie Magner. He served his country in the United States Navy. John was united in marriage to the former Trudy Magner on January 17, 1970 in Dowagiac. He was employed as a licensed electrician at the Palisades Nuclear Power Plant. John was a member of the Apostolic Lighthouse Church and loved helping others. He was always there for his family and could fix anything. He was loved by all. His family includes his wife Trudy of Dowagiac, his children Tearsa (Robert) Smith of Dowagiac, Alex (Jenny) Dudley of Dowagiac, and Bud (Rita) Dash of Dowagiac, grandchildren Samantha, Tiara, and Alanna Smith, Alexis, Arlaina and Wesley John Dudley (due in Aug.) and Johnnie and Lyla Dash, special nieces Pamela (Herb) Lesniak of Dowagiac, Karrina (Bobby) Dietz of Niles, Summer (Bill) Corkill of Fruitport, Angel Mead of Hartford and nephew Gary (Tiara) Zimmerman of Dowagiac, sisters Claudette (Dan) Merwin of Dowagiac, Suzette (Ralph) Liska of Dowagiac and Kathy (Craig) Steele of Dowagiac and brother Lonnie Dudley of CA. John passed away at his home on June 14, 2011. His family will gather with friends on Friday June 24th from 10-11 a.m. at the Apostolic Lighthouse where his memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. led by Pastor Casey Helmuth.
