Frederick ?Fred? Bork, 103, Died Sunday, June 20, 2004 at Lakeland Hospital ? St. Joseph
Friends may call from 6:00- 8:00 PM Tuesday, at Kerley-Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Road St. Joseph. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday, at Trinity Lutheran Church where he was a member. Burial will follow at North Shore Memory Gardens. Mr. Bork was born on February 25, 1901 in Saratov, Russia, to August and Katherine (Blum) Bork.
He married Mollie Stumpf on May 25, 1924, in Paxton NE. During his life he worked at Ford Motor Company for 23 years and was an insurance salesman with Aid Association for Lutherans for 30 years.
Frederick is survived by three daughters – Shirley Ziegert of Love Park, IL, Marilyn (Ronald) Rutz of Macomb Twp, MI, Janet (Richard) Ellis of St. Joseph; 7 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and a brother – Waldemar Bork of Lansing, MI.
He was preceded in death by his wife Mollie on November 25, 1991; a daughter Dorothy Zick in 1971; 4 brothers and 2 sisters.
