Cheryl's Obituary
Cheryl’s life began on October 11, 1943 in Dowagiac, the daughter of Earl and Lorraine (Branigan) Phelps and Daylene (Cole) Armstrong. She was united in marriage to Edward T. Neumann on January 4, 1964 in Dowagiac. Cheryl was the owner/operator of the Top of the Line Laundry in Decatur for several years. Her loving family includes her husband Edward of Decatur, children Todd C. (Nicole) Neumann of Allendale, MI, Lisa (Russell)Gonder of Jones, Michael E. Neumann and James E. Neumann, both of Dowagiac, seven grandchildren, siblings Daylene “DeeDee” Hayes of St. Joseph, Gregory ( Mary ) Hayes of St. Joseph, Denise ( Ted) Olmsted of Swan Lake, and Debra (Bill) Northrup of Dowagiac. Cheryl passed away at her home on Friday May 17, 2013. Father Kevin Covert of Holy Maternity of Mary Catholic Church will conduct graveside rites on Friday May 24th at 10 a.m. at Riverside Cemetery.
