Peggy J. Mazigian

We are writing this in Celebration of the Life of Peggy Joan Mazigian, 66, of Sodus, who passed away peacefully, Monday, July 24, 2006 at her home. She was born August 8, 1939 in Sturke, Arkansas. Peggy’s greatest love in life was spending time with her husband Bob, her kids, and her grandkids, and having her family altogether. She was an at home mother who dedicated her whole life to her family. Peggy was employed for a short time at K-Mart on Riverview Dr. in Benton Harbor. She never met a stranger or had a harsh word to say about anyone. Peggy enjoyed spending time with her friends and going to the boat with them, or just talking to them on the phone. Peggy is survived by her mother Velma Smith of Sodus; her husband Robert Mazigian, Sr. of Sodus; her daughter Cathy (Richie) Briley of Covert; five sons-Robert (Sue) Mazigian, Jr. of Berrien Springs, Johnny (Becky) Mazigian of Eau Claire, Ronald (Loretta) Mazigian of Benton Harbor, Roger (Shelley) Mazigian of Benton Harbor, Michael (Lori Jo) Mazigian of Sodus; seventeen grandchildren-Bobby, Zach, Carly, Johnny Jr., Jessi, Cody, Aaron, Rhonda, Bud, Shyann, Hunter, Andrea, Kristin, Michael Jr., Robbie, Cayli, and Bradie; two sisters-Judy (Bill) Ellsworth of St. Joseph, Frances (Charlie) Betts of Arkansas; and a brother Harold (Chris) Smith of Elkhart, IN. She was preceded in death by her father Ernest P. Smith, two brothers-Jerry Smith & Larry D. Cawyer, and a sister Donna Perry. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:30 A.M. Thursday at Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph with Rev. Mark Cowell of Midway Baptist Church officiating. Cremation will follow the service.
