Faye M. Sparks

Faye M. Sparks, 81, of St. Joseph died Monday, September 11, 2006 at Lakeland Specialty Hospital in Berrien Center. A Celebration of life Service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Thursday, September 14, 2006, with Dr. Randy Doyle officiating, at Kerley-Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery. Friends may call on the family from 10:00A.M. – 11:00A.M., Thursday. Memorials may be made to St. Joseph – Lincoln Township Senior Center. She was a graduate of Benton Harbor High School. She worked as a waitress at the St. Joseph Elks club until she retired a few years ago. She enjoyed cooking, entertaining and playing poker. Her true loves were her grandchildren, family and being with her friends. She is survived by her son Joseph (Barb) Sparks of St. Joseph; two grandchildren, Sara Sparks of Seattle, WA, and Mike Sparks of Los Angeles, CA; a sister Louise (Peter) Delk of Baroda, two bothers-in-law, Tom Sparks of St. Joseph, and Earl “Duke” (Margie) Sparks of Clarksville, MI. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Alan Sparks; and a daughter, Jacklynn Sparks.
