Hillary Marie DeGraw

Hillary Marie DeGraw, 23, of Benton Harbor, MI, passed away Wednesday, January 15, 2014. Hillary was born on March 30, 1990 in St. Joseph, MI, the daughter of Edmund DeGraw and Carol Lewis. She is a member of the Pokagon Band of Potawatomi Indians. Her surviving family includes her mother and father; maternal grandfather, James Watson Lewis of Benton Harbor, MI; paternal grandmother Geraldine Blanchard; sisters Monica DeGraw of KY and Shelby Thomas of Coloma, MI; brother Jimmy Dale Thomas Jr. of Coloma, MI; aunts Dawn M. Rummage of Dowagiac, MI, Gail A. Williams of North Judson, IN, Beverly Wesaw of Coloma, MI and Martha DeGraw of KY; uncles James D. Lewis of Dowagiac, MI, Richard L. Lewis of Cheybayan, MI, William J. Lewis of Dowagiac, Gerry Lewis of Benton Harbor, MI, Dean A. Lewis of Benton Harbor, Dale W. Lewis of Elkhart, IN and Matthew DeGraw of IN. Her family will have a gathering of family and friends Monday, January, 20, 2014, from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Clark Chapel, 405 Center St., Dowagiac, MI, where Hillary will have a traditional Native Indian service on Tuesday, January 21, 2014, at 11:00am.
