Donald E. Longway

Don “Ducky” Longway was born June 26, 1941 in La Crosse, WI, the son of Arthur and Hazel (Norcross) Longway.  He was married to Virginia Voit of Dowagiac MI 1961 to 1979. He also shared his life with Judi Richardson also of Dowagiac, and Mary Ann Coon of Indian River MI.  He was a machine operator for nearly twenty years at Jessup Door Company in Dowagiac MI. Don also lived for many years in Toppinabee, MI.  Surviving family includes his children; Kelly (Dave) Bolin, Kim White, Kris Dawkins, and Don Longway all of Dowagiac, MI; his grandchildren; Beth, Dayson and MKena Bolin, Adam Starkey, Trintin White, Katie Newland, Ben Owen; step grandchildren; Heidi Longway, Harmony Longway and Hanna Longway; great grandchildren; Hayden Langley, Neka Langley, Mikael Starkey, and Devon Starkey; one brother Robert (Nancy) Longway of Dowagiac, MI.  Don passed away Saturday, February 22, 2014 at The Timbers of Cass County, Dowagiac, MI.  He was preceded in death by both parents, step son Orba Longway and a sister Diane.  His family will have a gathering for friends on Sunday, March 2, 2014 from 2 pm until time of Memorial Service at 3 pm at the Clark Chapel, 405 Center St., Dowagiac, MI.  He has been entrusted to the Cremation Services of Southwest Michigan.  Please take the opportunity to sign his guestbook and leave a memory of Don for his family at www.clarkch.com.
