Arthur S. Kaniewski

Arthur (Art) S. Kaniewski, age 92, was born on July 30, 1921 in South Bend, IN, the son of Stanley and Mary Kaniewski who preceded him in death.  Also preceded in death by his first wife Bonnie (Jaxon) Kaniewski and his second wife Marcelaine (Poole) Kaniewski; sister, Eunice Emerick and a brother, Joseph.  He is survived by his; daughter, Bonnie (Michael) Niebauer of Equator; son, Steven Kaniewski of American Fork, Utah; stepdaughter, Kathy (Ken) Everett of Elkhart, IN; stepsons, Dale Granning of Enid, OK and Tom (Connie) Granning of South Bend, IN; five grandchildren and several great grandchildren.  He retired from the Bendix Corp. in 1982.  He served his country in World War II as a marine engineer in the Merchant Marines in the Atlantic & Pacific Theater’s.  Arthur was a member of VFW Post #4855 and the American Legion #563.  There will be no visitation or funeral service.  A graveside burial will be at Mission Hills Memorial Gardens, Niles, MI on Monday, March 24, 2014 at 10:30am.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to your choice of Veteran’s Organizations.  Please take the opportunity to sign his guestbook and leave a memory of thought of Arthur at www.clarkch.com.
