Helen Lebeda

Helen Patricia “Pat” (Gibson) Lebeda, beloved wife, mother, grandma, great grandma and sister went to be with Our Father on Wednesday, March 19th, 2014, surrounded by her family.  Pat retired from Lawrence Public Schools after many years of service. She loved wood working, jig saw puzzles and western movies, but most of all she loved her family.  Pat was born to Samuel and Ardith Gibson in Alliance, Nebraska on July 20, 1938 who preceded her in death.   She married Fred Lebeda, Sr. in 1955, who survives along with her children; Fred (Pat) Lebeda Jr. of Casper, WY, Patty (Ross Ely) Trakas of Lawrence, Christopher Lebeda of Lawrence, Jeffrey Lebeda of Mexico, Timothy (Maria) Lebeda of California, Kenneth (April Fester) Lebeda of Cassopolis and Phylis Thompson of Lawrence, and Pat’s dear friend Michael Radde.   She is also survived by her sister Nancy Berfiend of Lawton, OK., 23 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren. Pat was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Georgia Lebeda, brother Bob and three sisters; Velva, Phylis and Kathy.  In accordance with her wishes she has been cremated and in lieu of flowers please make any memorial contributions to the family of Helen Lebeda, c/o  Clark Chapel, 405 Center St., Dowagiac, MI 49047.  Her family will have a Memorial Service on Friday, March 28, 2014 at 5 pm at the United Methodist Church in Lawrence with Pastor Cliff Radtke officiating.  She has been entrusted to Clark Chapel & Cremation Services of Dowagiac.  Please take the opportunity to sign her guestbook and leave a memory of Helen for her family at www.clarkch.com.
