Tony W. Farrow, 67, of Dowagiac, passed away, Thursday, May 8, 2014 at his home. A Celebration of Life Service will be celebrated at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, May 14, 2014 at Second Baptist Church, 203 N. Paul Street, Dowagiac, MI with Reverend Eugene Staples officiating. Burial will follow at Mission Hills Cemetery in Niles. Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday from 12:00 pm until 1:00 pm at the church. www.clarkchapel.com. Tony was born July 31, 1946 in Dowagiac to George W. & Cassie J. (Curtis) Farrow. On April 14, 1965, he married Patricia R. Edwards in Cassopolis, MI. He served three years in the Army with one year in Vietnam. Tony worked for 33½ years as a maintenance technician for the City of Dowagiac Water Treatment Facility. Tony was a devoted husband and father. He was a great family man who had a love for genealogy and was very knowledgeable about his families’ history. He was proud of his granddaughters for graduating college and loved his nieces and nephews, they all had a special place in his heart. Tony loved people and never met a person he didn’t know. He facilitated the sound room at the Second Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing, yard work, just being outdoors, and family vacations. He was especially fond of the rides he took with his son-in-law Chris. He enjoyed listening to Jazz and had a fondness for Hidden Beach and Paul Hardcastle. He enjoyed casinos, tinkering with electronics, playing cards with friends and family members and loved his dogs. Tony also enjoyed sitting on his deck listening to music. Tony is survived by his wife Patricia; two daughters Tonya Bradshaw of Ypsilanti and Sharene (Chris) Green of Dowagiac; four grandchildren Darnesha Bradshaw, A. Jackie Green, Andrea Bradshaw and Krista Green; two great-grandchildren Peyton Beard and Christian Castillo; a very special great-nephew Christopher Ware of Columbus, OH; one brother Vance W. (Martha) Farrow of Ratliff, KY; four sisters Joyce (David) Steele of Dowagiac, Norma (Arneal) Lane of Albion, Cora (Oliver) Davis and Darlene Newsome, both of Oklahoma; four brothers-in-law that Tony was fond of include Jesse J. Edwards, L. David Edwards, Donnie Edwards and Wayne Edwards and 3 sisters-in-law Phyllis Burrell, Lisa Jefferson and Faye Edwards. He is also survived by his Godchildren: Levernace Hogan, Kaisha Martin and Jarron Haines and Mother-In-Law, Margaret Edwards. Tony was preceded in death by his parents; one brother Duane Farrow; and two sisters Maxine Ivens and Jerrie Harvey.
