Ruth A. Casey

Ruth A. Casey, 74 of Dowagiac, passed away on Thursday, May 22, 2014 at her home after a long illness.  Ruth was born in Dowagiac to Harold J. Casey and Mary Alice (Felner) Casey. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Jim. Surviving are her sisters, Janet (Jim) Sayer, Helen Casey and Jean Casey along with several nieces and nephews.  Ruth was employed for almost 30 years at Rudy Manufacturing and Sundstrand in Dowagiac. She was an avid Detroit Tiger and Notre Dame follower. She was a lifelong member of Sacred Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Silver Creek Township.  A Rosary for Ruth will be recited at 9:30 a.m., Saturday, May 24 at Sacred Heart of Mary Catholic Church, Leach Road,  Dowagiac in the Fellowship Hall, with visitation to follow, 10-11 a.m. A funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. by Father Kevin Covert.  Burial will take place at Sacred Heart Cemetery after the service.
