Fannibel's Obituary

Fannibel Sprague, 90, of Coloma, passed into her rest on Wednesday morning, April 23, 2008, at Jordan’s Nursing Home in Bridgman. A Celebration of Life service will be held Friday morning, April 25, at 10:00 at Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Road, in St. Joseph, with Pastor David Broom officiating. Burial will follow at North Shore Memory Garden in Coloma. Visitation with the family will be held this evening from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the family. On October 29, 1940, she married Samuel James Sprague, Jr. Together they had three children, Delores, Nancy, and Samuel, III. Fannibel thoroughly enjoyed working crossword puzzles, playing solitaire, and watching television game shows. She took care of her family by cooking and keeping an immaculately clean house. Most of all, Fannibel cherished spending time with her great-grandchildren. Fannibel is survived by her children, Delores (Jerry) Forker and Nancy Zeno of Benton Harbor, and Samuel Sprague, III of North Carolina; grandchildren, Chuck, Jerry, Jr., Timothy, David, and Todd Forker, and Lerue, Joyce, Heather, and Tammy Sprague; 20 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren; by her brother Albert Cole; and sister, Frances Cole. In addition to her parents, Fannibel was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel; grandson, Raymond Panozzo; and by several of her siblings.
