Helen Kulich, 84, of Comstock Park, MI, formerly of Benton Harbor, MI, passed away Friday, March 5, 2010 at Faith Hospice at Trillium Woods of Byron Center, MI. A Celebration of life service will be held at 11:30 Tuesday, March 9, 2010 at Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery. Friends may visit from 6:00 P.M until 9:00 P.M. Monday March 8, 2010 at the funeral home with a Pannykhida Service at 8:00 P.M. and friends may also visit Tuesday from 10:30A.M. until 11:30A.M. Helen was born August 2, 1925 in Janow, Poland to Gregory & Nadia (Szewczuk) Gadomski. On June 14, 1943 she married Roman Kulich in Janow, Poland. Helen worked for Benton Harbor Area Schools for many years. In her spare time she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, crocheting, baking and gardening. Helen is survived by her sons Leon (Joanne) Kulich of Livonia, MI, Roman T. Kulich (fiancé J. P. Cartmill) of St. Louis MO, and Victor (Julie) Kulich of Comstock Park; grandchildren Andrew (Renee) Kulich of Washington Township, MI, Stephanie Kulich of St. Joseph, Katherine Kulich of Livonia, Elizabeth & Johnathon Kulich of Comstock Park, Jeanine (Dennis) Behrendt of Holland, MI, and Michelle (Craig) McKinney of Garden City, MI; great grandchild Noah Kulich. Helen was preceded in death by her parents, husband Roman, two sisters; Irina and Lucy, and two brothers; Anatoly and George.
