Norbert F. Strzynski

Norbert F. Strzynski, 87, of St. Joseph, passed away Saturday, September 18, 2010 at Lakeland Hospital in St. Joseph. A Celebration of Life Service will be held 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, September 22, 2010 at Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph with Deacon Mike Gallagher officiating. Friends may visit from 9:00 A.M. until 10:00 A.M. Wednesday at the funeral home. His ashes will be buried at Riverview Cemetery at a later date. Memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Southwest Michigan. Those wishing to share a memory online may do so at www.starks-menchinger.com Norbert was born August 12, 1923 in St. Joseph, MI to Jack & Helen (Skcrczewski) Strzynski. He graduated from St. Joseph Catholic High School and the Art Institute of Chicago. He served his country in the United States Army Air Force. On January 27, 1951 he married Marjorie “Madge” Miney in St. Joseph. Norbert worked for Bendix as a bookkeeper for many years. In his spare time he enjoyed painting, art work and building models. Norbert is survived by his daughter Joan Strzynski of Tucson AZ; son Jim, Strzynski of St. Joseph. Norbert was preceded in death by his parents, wife, son Bob Strzynski and brother Edward Strzynski.
