Patricia Ann Mosher

Patricia Ann “Pat” Mosher, 79, of St. Joseph, passed away, Monday, August 25, 2014 at Lakeland Regional Medical Center, St. Joseph. A Celebration of Life Service will be held 11:00 A.M. Saturday, September 13, 2014 at the First Congregational United Church of Christ, 2001 Niles Ave., St. Joseph, with Rev. Dr. Robert Braman officiating.  Inurnment will take place at Riverview Cemetery, St. Joseph.  Friends may visit with the family beginning at 10:00 A.M. Pat was born December 6, 1934 in St. Joseph to Victor & Irene (Rogler) Palenske.  She graduated from St. Joseph High School in 1952. As a teenager she enjoyed finding a comfortable tree to read in or hanging out at the beach. She received a full scholarship to Michigan State University and graduated with honors in medical technology in 1956.  On January 4, 1980, Pat married Peter Mosher in Lake Orion, Michigan. Pat was a manager at Oakland Diagnostic Laboratory in Southfield MI until she and Pete moved back to St. Joseph in 1986 to reside in her family home.  Pat was then employed as a manager at Berrien General Hospital for several years before retiring to join her husband as Secretary/Treasurer in the family business-Application Engineering Inc. in South Haven.  Pat was an active member of First Congregational UCC, the Indian Hills Garden Club, Child and Family Services . Pat was a devoted friend, loving mother, wife, grandmother and great grandmother. In her free time, Pat enjoyed gardening in the flower gardens started by her mother. The spread of the family allowed a great deal of enjoyable world travel. Pat is survived by her husband Peter; her children-David (Nancy) Youngquist of Royal Oak, MI, Robin (Carl) Gardner now of St. Joseph, Erik Youngquist of Grand Rapids, MI, and Marc Mosher of Mesquite, TX, Kevin (LaDonda) Mosher of Terrell, TX, Andrea (Lance) Cousins of Birmingham, Michigan; eleven grandchildren-Alison Youngquist, Maxine & Ethan Gardner,  Wyatt, Melanie & Lilly Youngquist, Emily Mosher, Brandon (Kendra) Mosher, Justin Mosher, Kyler & Cecilia Cousins; one great-grandchild Lanie Mosher; a sister Helen (Thomas) Sinn of St. Joseph; a brother Victor (Ann) Palenske of St. Joseph; and numerous nieces & nephews.
