Barbara's Obituary
Barbara “Barb” Paulson, 88 of Stevensville Michigan (formally of Janesville, Wisconsin) passed away peacefully in her sleep, during an afternoon nap, on September 1; 2014.
She was born February 19, 1926 in Beloit, WI, the daughter of Frank and Florence Mead. She was a Beloit High School graduate and went on to attend Lawrence University in Appleton, Wisconsin.
Barb married Clifford Paulson on October 16; 1948 in Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, Beloit Wisconsin. In 1994, they sold their home in Beloit and moved to Janesville. She and Cliff enjoyed 62 years of marriage. He passed on January 10; 2010. Together, they had three children: Mark, Marsha and Sharon. Barb was a devoted mother who was very proud of her children and their accomplishments. In the recent year, Barb moved to Michigan to be near her son and daughter-in-law; as well as grandchildren.
In her youth, Barb loved spending summers at Lake Owen in Cable, Wisconsin. These memories lasted a lifetime. She continued to enjoy traveling, especially cruises. In 1998, she and Cliff celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary by taking an Alaskan cruise with their family. She enjoyed traveling with family and friends. Barb was a Wisconsin Badger fan; especially basketball and football. She enjoyed watching all sports. Barb also enjoyed playing BINGO, cards and watching QVC. Barb loved Christmas and especially loved the 4th of July. She will now have a special seat in Heaven to watch the fireworks!
Family was every thing to Barb. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Survivors are as follows, children: Mark (Lynn) Paulson of Stevensville Michigan, Marsha Paulson of Raleigh NC and Sharon Metz of Janesville Wisconsin; four grandchildren: Nicole (Bob) Barth of Plainwell Michigan, Tom (Liz) Paulson of Stevensville Michigan, Lauri Paulson of Portage Michigan and Evan Metz of Janesville Wisconsin; five great-grandchildren: Grace, Sophia, Anna, Kayla and Cameron; sister-in-law Lida Mead of Kinston NC; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by her parents, husband Clifford, brother John Mead, sister-in-law Evelyn Nelson and son-in-law Ron Metz.

There will be a family service held in Michigan, followed by burial in Beloit, Wisconsin.
