Kenneth Earl Miller

Kenneth Earl Miller, 85, of St. Joseph went home to his Lord and Savior October 8, 2015 at Hanson Hospice Center in Stevensville. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Tuesday, October 13, 2015 at 11 AM at Starks and Menchinger Chapel and Cremation Services, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph with Pastor Doug Hoyh officiating. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery. Friends may visit on Monday, October 12, 2015 from 5 PM until 7 PM at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice at home or Alzheimer’s Association – Great Lakes Chapter. Those wishing to leave an online condolence may do so at www.starks-menchinger.com Kenneth was born on July 30, 1930 in Russellville, Arkansas to Eddie Cope Miller and Annie Davis. On September 3, 1988 Kenneth married the love of his life, Lois Peek. Kenneth proudly served our country by joining the US Army during the Korean War. For over 30 years Kenneth worked as a maintenance supervisor for Cook Nuclear Plant. He over saw the initial startup of the plant and would end up retiring from there also. Kenneth had many interest; hunting, fishing, and bowling. If Kenneth had any spare time he would read his favorite book, the Bible. He loved watching baseball, especially the Braves, but he was a very proud baseball coach for St. Joseph. During the cold winter months, Kenneth would spend his time down in Florida. Most importantly, Kenneth loved his family and will be missed much. Kenneth is survived by his wife, Lois; children, Gary Peek of St. Joseph, Cheryl (Roger) Peek Winford and Beverly Peek Starke both of Largo, FL, and Cindy Peek Starke of St. Joseph; grandchildren, Michael and Scott Winford, Ashley and Amanda Peek, Hannah Starke, Austin and Jacob Starke, and Chelsea Ward; a great-grandchild, Jay Starke; brother, Bob Miller; and son-in-law, Keith Starke. Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Flora Rice, William, Melvin, David, and John Miller.
