Linda Boehm

Linda Boehm, 80, of St. Joseph, went home to be with her heavenly father on Tuesday, February 2, 2016 at Lakeland Medical Center in St. Joseph. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, February 6, 2016 at 12:00 PM at Oakridge Baptist Church, 766 Oakridge Dr., St. Joseph with Pastor Scott Reeve officiating.  Burial will follow at Hickory Bluff Cemetery.  Friends may visit with the family from 10:00 AM until the time of the service.  Memorial contributions may be made to Oakridge Baptist Church where she was a member.  Those wishing to leave an online condolence may do so at www.starks-menchinger.com. Linda was born June 23, 1935 in Balarka, Poland to Ferdinand and Wilhelmine (Banik) Schwarz.  On September 20, 1957, Linda married the love of her life, Guenther Boehm, in Beverly, Massachusetts.  Guenther preceded Linda in death on May 5, 2008.  Linda was a member of the White Cross organization.  She enjoyed sewing, gardening and cooking.  Linda’s specialties were her potato salad and strudel. Linda is survived by her children, Peter (Lisa) Boehm of St. Joseph, Manfred (Ella) Boehm of Waukesha, WI, Lori (Stuart) Ries of Louisville, KY, and Tina Boehm of Benton Harbor; seven grandchildren, Phillip, Megan, Jasmine, Michael, Casey, Karlee and Andraya; one great-grandchild, Aiden; siblings, Tabea Faatz, Erwin (Lilli) Schwarz, Meta (Klaus) Seltman, Sigrid (Victor) Kietzer along with numerous nieces and nephews. Linda was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Guenther, siblings Landa DeBodt, Natalie Schwarz, Reinhold Schwarz, Herman Schwarz, Werner Schwarz, Irmgard Schwarz and Helmut Schwarz.
