Andrew Robert Cobe

Andrew R. Cobe Sr., 44 of Benton Harbor, MI went to be with his Lord & Savior on Wednesday, November 28, 2018 after a courageous battle with cancer. A Celebration of Life Service will be held 3:00 PM, Friday, December 7, 2018 at Starks & Menchinger Chapel & Cremation Services, 2650 Niles Rd. St. Joseph with Pastors Brian Bennett and Ross Tarantino officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of Tamara Cobe for a college fund for Elijah Cobe. Those wishing to leave a message of condolence for the family may do so online at www.starks-menchinger.com. Andrew was born May 20, 1974 in Benton Harbor, MI to Robert “Bob” & Cheryl (Stubelt) Cobe. He was a graduate of Grace Christian School class of 1993. On September 18, 1993 he married the love of his life, Tamara Edmundson in Benton Harbor. He then went on to attend a trade school in Howell, MI. to become a crane operator. Andrew worked as a crane operator for over 18 years then decided to spend more time locally with his family and work at his father’s business: Bob’s Tree Service. They have enjoyed working side by side for the last several years. In his spare time he enjoyed hunting, fishing and driving his Belaire Hot Rod. Most of all he loved spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife Tamara; sons, Andrew (Shelly) Cobe Jr., Marshal Cobe and Elijah Cobe; grandchildren, Loraile Cobe and Andrew Cobe III; parents Robert “Bob” & Cheryl Cobe; sister Amy (Dana) Telschaw; grandmother Helen Stubelt; nieces and nephews Jake (Shanell), Bobby (Shelby), Tyler (Adrianna), D.J., Connor, Clayton, Kailey, Alyssa and Ryley; great-nieces and nephews, Stella, Evie and Ashton; several Aunts and Uncles and many close family and friends, as well as all of his “adopted” sons. He was preceded in death by his grandson Max Cobe; brother Robert Cobe Jr.; grandfather Leo Stubelt and grandparents John & Mary Cobe.
