Donna's Obituary
Donna Lee Sackett, 92, known as little twin in her youth, late of Northwood, Ohio and formerly of Stevensville, Michigan passed away Sunday, April 14, 2024.
Donna was born on October 28, 1931, to the late Lee and Anna (Regan) DeMorrow.
She graduated from Stevensville High School and was a member of St. Paul’s Ev. Lutheran Church in Stevensville. Donna enjoyed going to rummage sales, making crafts, hummingbirds and feeding the local wildlife. She loved watching soap operas, especially General Hospital and Hallmark movies. Donna was also passionate about carousel horses.
Donna is survived by her daughter: Karen (Frank) Oles; stepdaughter Sandra Bolhuis, stepson Jeffery (Susan) Sackett; daughter-in-law, Yvonne Sackett (widow of Steve); 12 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren; brother, Lawrence (Dolores) DeMorrow. Donna was preceded in death by her parents; husband Bernie Sackett, son Robert James Rhodes, stepson, Steven Sackett, and sisters Joyce McTague and Mary Ann Mooney.
A celebration of life service will be held at 10 am on Saturday, April 20, 2024, at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. Visitation will be held one hour prior, from 9-10 am. Interment will follow at Lincoln Township Cemetery, Stevensville, MI. Memorial contributions may be made to your local Humane Society.
