Vivian's Obituary

Vivian Kay Gigiano, 66, of South Haven, passed away Sunday, April 24, 2022 at Bronson Hospital in Kalamazoo, surrounded by family and friends. She was born on April 1, 1956 in Bowling Green Ohio to Donald and Lois Leffel.

Vivian is survived by her children; Jon Gigiano, Heather (Matt) Bowes, Nicole (Brad) Shively, grandchildren; Sabrina, Max, Trevor, Bryce, Harlow, Joey, Sophia, Dominick and Anthony, and siblings; David Leffel, Brent Leffel, Donny Leffel, Tina Widner and Shelly Dutkiewicz.

Vivian was preceded in death by parents Donald and Lois Leffel, sisters Joanie and Gina and husband Nick.

Vivian worked for many years as a nursing assistant in nursing homes and then in home health care. She also spent time as a bartender. She was a 3-time Cancer survivor. She was known as a strong, independent woman, a fierce and loyal friend. She was dedicated to her family and the wellbeing of others. If you met her once, you knew her forever. She made a large impact on so many people. Her memory will be forever cherished by us all.

Visitation for Vivian will be Wednesday, May 11, 2022 from 12 p.m. until the time of the Memorial Service at 1 p.m. at Filbrandt Chapel, 1076 S. Bailey Ave, South Haven, Michigan, 49090. Pastor Eric Jarvis will officiate. In lieu of flowers, consider making a donation to the U of M Cancer center, we are so thankful for all they did for our mom. Arrangements have been entrusted to Filbrandt Chapel-Starks Family Funeral Homes and Cremation Center. 269-637-0333
