Flo's Obituary
Florence Almeta "Flo" Hinkle, 71, of Buchanan, passed away at home on Monday, February 7, 2022, with her family by her side.
A celebration of life service will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, February 15, 2022, at Swem Chapel, 301 W. Front St., Buchanan, MI. Burial will follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery, Buchanan. Flo was born on April 23, 1950, to Clifford C. and Almeta (Flanagan) Pruett at the family home in Buchanan. She graduated from Buchanan High School in 1968. Flo then went on to Western Michigan University receiving her Batchelor' s Degree, she would later attend Indiana University South Bend to become a paralegal. She served as a paralegal at various law firms in the community for many years. Flo also taught at New Buffalo Schools and worked at Meridian Title in Niles. She was an avid gardener and loved cooking, especially baking. Most of all, she cherished time spent with her family.
Flo is survived by her son, Daniel Hinkle of Buchanan; grandson, Aiden Hinkle; brother, Marvin (Penney) Pruett; sister, Fran Terry; sister-in-law, Glenna Pruett, five nephews and one niece. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clifford and Almeta and brother, Clifford E. Pruett.
